How to play & scoring

Start with five hearts and one free clue. Extra clues cost half a heart; wrong guesses cost one. Search for a city and confirm your guess. Solve it with as many hearts as possible.

Worked example

One extra clue reduces five hearts to four and a half. A wrong guess then leaves three and a half. Solve the city on your next guess to finish with those remaining hearts.

What to watch for

Combine the continent, country and distance clues instead of anchoring on the first familiar city. Reference distances and directions narrow the search. Confirm the intended city when several places share its name.
