Peak Duel

Two summits. Choose the one closer to the sky.

How to play & scoring

Choose the mountain with the higher summit elevation above sea level. Confirm your answer to reveal both measurements and their sources.

Worked example

A summit 3,200 m above sea level beats a summit at 2,800 m. This remains true even if the lower summit rises more dramatically from the valley immediately beside it.

Examples illustrate the rules. They are not real country statistics or answers to your round.

What to watch for

Summit elevation is different from prominence or height above a mountain's base. Use the measure named in the round. The comparison uses selected source measurements, which may differ from other surveys.
